Stow Charity Event and Auction

STOW FLYER 2017

This wonderful event is back again for all to enjoy at Thurstons Farm with a new selection of entertainment, raffle prizes and fun for all. We hope you will join us in supporting such a wonderful charity and having a fantastic evening.

The Lettering Arts Trust Calligraphy Course with Gaynor Goffe

Gaynor Goffe is a well renowned calligrapher and works alongside the local charity The Lettering and Commemorative Arts Trust to continue the great skill and artwork in lettering by holding numerous courses and workshops. We are very pleased to be hosting the wonderful 3 day course based within the Barn at Thurstons Farm, the workshop will involve a small group of pupils who will be taught within a group but with one to one direction and tuition throughout the three day course.

Lunch is provided with the course and all attendees are welcome to explore the grounds and gardens at Thurstons, we have a number of examples of work through the charity namely the acorn created by Geoff Aldred in the woodland area of the gardens.

The Lettering Arts Trust Friends Event

Thurstons held the annual Friends of the Trust event in 2015 and plans to make this a annual event are in the process and we hope to welcome back old and new guests to this wonderful event for artists and supporters alike.

The event will be a warm welcome to Friends, Trustees and Artists from the charity giving access to the gardens, barns and sculptures around Thurstons. Drinks and canapes will be provided for guests. If you would like to find out more about the charity and the work that they do pl;ease visit their website.

June Friends Gathering
Private Family Event

We were very pleased to hold a family and friends event for a group of 20 people in the barn complex with plenty of room for catering for the group who cooked for themselves with all of the supplies and facilities of the barn. The use of the barn for the day covered access for the children to play among the gardens and woodlands with a early start to the evening and a wonderful space within the barn for everyone to eat, celebrate and enjoy the surroundings and company.

The Lettering Arts Trust Friends Event

Thurstons will be hosting the celebrations of new friends to the charity providing a setting in which artists from the charity can meet with contributors and find out more about the charity work done and the progress of the charity over the last year.

The event will be a warm welcome to Friends, Trustees and Artists from the charity giving access to the gardens, barns and sculptures around Thurstons. Drinks and canapes will be provided for guests. With a appearance from Wayne Hart showing the art and skill of letter cutting and as a past apprentice thought the charity he was able to provide background and knowledge on how the support of Friends to the charity is vital.
